If You Were Born Between 1930 and the ’60′s

I wish I had written this and really don’t know who did but it’s fun!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE 1930′s 40′s, 50′s, and 60′s !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn’t get tested for diabetes.

The Corrigan Dynasty, lol

Let’s recap BC’s Provincial election and how it relates to Burnaby.

The ruling Liberal party gets another mandate to serve the people of BC. The people of Burnaby now have 20 of 22 elected officials in my city who belong to the opposition.

Small Things Can Make A Change

Unconditional random acts of kindness make the giver and the recipient feel good.

A friend and I were enjoying a nice dinner at a fine restaurant one evening. We looked across the restaurant and saw a young couple hand in hand enjoying a good conversation and holding hands. They looked a little out of place or overwhelmed. My friend called over the waiter and told him to send a good bottle of Champagne to them, “and don’t tell them where it came from, just tell them to enjoy it” he said. Sun Tzu’s Art of War

Sun Tzu was a Chinese General who wrote the first treatise on warfare and how to win battles. Funny enough the Art of War is easily adaptable to business and is taught as such in some of the world’s leading business schools.

When you read the following tactics imagine that Chinese General and how doing business, especially in a bad economy is like going to do battle for life or death.

1. The entrepreneur’s five most desired traits.
Wisdom is the quality of being able to make sound, logical decisions. It doesn’t come easy and can only be perfected through years of study and experience.
